V 10 tach/shift light ?

    so im looking in to getting a tach with a shift light but i have a V10 and most of the tach's say they work for up to a v 8 or 12 volt ignition will it work on my truck?

    They go from 4-8 cylinders as far as I can remember. I put an autometer in my truck and you just change the wiring on the back of the tach itself to adjust for the number of cylinders.



    I'll try to look for my instructions but I doubt I have them anymore.



    Edit: couldnt find any other info but look into this maybe?

    Heres a deal that works with odd 3 and 10 cylinder engines. Cant find any other info on it.

    I had a sun pro on my dodge it only went from 4-8 cyl. As far as the wiring there should be like 4 wires red (power), black( ground), green (ground to coil or distributer, not sure might be different), & white (illumination, so like the dash lights).

    ok so i someone please correct me if im wrong but i can run the power straight to the battery? and as far as the wire to the coil where do i actually connect it? yes im this electronics impaired lol
