Every year my wife and I make something different for a cake for our son.

This is the cake we had for his party today.

Plenty of room for more candles, just keep them away from the trees. They are flammable.

They are a kinda jelly bean like, some are cinnamon, black licorice, minty something....

The hill is rice crispy treats sitting on top of cake and the mud pit is chocolate pudding in a removable container. with crushed oreo going into and out of the mud pit, with tootsie roll posts linning it.

Buttery Yellow cake with home made strawberry buttercream filling

Is the mud section supposed to replicate hollister hills? :D

    Thats pretty sweet though.

I always see cakes a the Jewel grocery store bakery... ever so often they have jeep ones similar to what you had but no where near as cool haha.

    MIke.

Originally I was going for the Tennessee hill climbs but that Got modified when we started making it. We went with a smaller scale this year, tired of wasting cake. The mud pit was intended to be a bowl of pudding with space around it for vehicle to be parked like they were hanging out, but with the smaller scale, yea it kinda did become Hollister Hills mud pit, especially since it's local and we have spent some time there.

Cool cake, I'd like one too but I'm afraid they'd have to have the fire dept. on standby for the forest fire that would surely ensue... :)
