i just picked up an 88 Z71 (should i put that in my user name? 85burbanator Z71 does have a nice ring to it.) any way. the bed is pretty beat up so im going to build a flat bed. im not sure what materials to use and how to attach it to the frame though. ive got tons of 2.5 square tubing so i think im going to use that. should i use rubber bushings when attaching it to the frame what? if any one can help me out on this id appreciate it.

well i would mount it the same way that the reg. bed is mounted, i know most of the time beds are just bolted straight to the frame.

that was my thought as well. i know it would stiffen it up quite a bit and i wasnt sure if that would cause problems down the road.
