How Much R134a to recharge System In 01 Ram 2500???

    My AC needs recharging and Ive got all sthe stuff to do It including the refridgerant I cant find how much to put in tho, Ive heard its around 2 lbs 6 ounces but i cant verify it. Anybody know the exact amount I need??

    I don't think it matters what kind of car/truck you have. And I don't know the pounds but the pressure should be between 25-45psi.

    You don't know how much you need unless it's been completely discharged. You have to measure the pressure in it.

    Check your Chiltons/Hanes.

    It should be eather on the compressor or on a sticker under the hood. and make sure to suck the system into a vacuum before you charge it.

    you also want to make sure that it will hold that vacuum for a period of time so that you know there isn't a big leak in the system. That truck comes with some sealed joints and also has springlocks on it where the o-rings or the seal washers can go bad.
