Finally got around to building a bumper... PICS

    It's not yet complete. It's pretty much just tacked together so far and I still have to add tabs for my d-rings, finish the bottom, and cut holes for my lights. I'm just using SMAW (stick welding.) I didn't build it big enough to fit a winch behind it but I thought I could set up some type of receiver and run a winch off of that so I could use it on the rear as well. I messed up a few times and you'll probably notice it :D: but here's some pics...

    Don't you need more gap between the bumper and lights? IIRC the bumpers flex with the frame some.

    The steel is 3/16 except for the center section is 1/4 and It sits out away from the lights. the pics just make it look like it is right under the lights.

    No real progress lately except that I decided to go ahead and move it out a few inches to fit a winch behind it and I still need to cut holes for the lights and some other stuff. Here's a pic up in Sumpter Oregon on the way to our cabin.

    you should have thrown a winch on there. but other than that it looks clean.

    Yeah it's not finished yet. I am wanting to put a winch behind it but I don't have one right now and I'm not sure how I want to do it. I guess it's going to take me a little longer than i actually thought to fully complete this setup... :roll: :roll:

    do you have dimensions for the bumper u made by any chance looken to turn my ram into my bear huntin truck and it would just save some time making one then just to make my own plans
