What exactly is the difference? Don't they both just make the body higher? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each?Let me know I'm new to this as you can tell.

    Thanks

A body lift puts spacers between the frame and the body and is generally used to fit bigger tires.

A suspension lift gives you more ground clearance, and keeps the center of gravity more in check.

A suspension lift is always better, because it keeps the car proportional to itself. A body lift will cause it to sway hard at turns.

So a suspesion lift kit will do everything a body lift kit does and more because it's the suspesion your changing.

I've got a 98 Ram Quad Cab Sport 4x4 with the 5.2liter 318 in Intense Blue. All stock yet. Any suggestions on what should be upgraded first? I can't really put a lift on my truck since I'd like to keep it in the garage.

Tires. You can always go a little bigger, and better.

Body lifts only allow room for bigger tires, thats their only purpose. Suspension lifts raise the entire suspension including the frame, thus giving you better articulation and more ground clearance.
