Glenn at EGR just called and mentioned that he now has rear disk conversions for the 1/2 ton Dodge, Chevy and Ford trucks!

He says they are similar to the TSM setup, but better parts and better than the Stainless Steel Brakes setup as it uses a much larger caliper with integrated parking brake. Similar to the caliper used in HaWiiLuVeR's 2500 conversion http://www.pavementsucks.com/tech/reardisk.php

He is sending me an appication and pricing guide shortly so I will have more info then.

Prices start at $799 and include brackets, hardware, rotors, calipers and new braided frame-to-axle line. A Suburban version goes for $999 but I do not recall right now exactly which Suburban setup that was for.

I have the ssbc kit, I have had it for about a month, but have not had a chance to install it yet, it has been too cold. The kit looks pretty nice the calipers appear to be plenty big and the new master cylinder is huge, The also have many different pad composites you can choose from even double piston calipers if you can afford it. Many of the kits I have seen from other companies make you find your won calipers. My kit was about $800 to my door. Installation does seem a bit tougher then they claim gotta pull the rear axle shafts to mount caliper plates, and I am concerned about replacing the mastercylinder since I have front ABS I am not sure if I can thouroughly bleed the brakes or not. When I get it on, hopefully soon, I will let you know what I think. DRUM BRAKES SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
