a big hub 44 looks completely different than the small hub, it uses 6 5/16 allen bolts to hold the hub on instead of the little screws that hold on the small hub type

heres the big hub type lockout it is alot larger than the small hub and it's a external design, there is 3 parts to the hub/lockout

the small hub stock warn ones used in the 80s look like this

the stock 70s small hub spicer ones look almost the dame, the dial where you grab onto is thinner in the middle, the small hub style are all internal lockout and a 2 piece design hub/lockout

From what I recollect, the 75 d44 is an external hub whereas in the late 70's d44 you had an internal hub until GM went to the ten bolt, which was also an internal hub design.

Yep, then you have the external hub design. Warn (and I'm sure everyone else) makes a hub for the external lockout. about 80 bucks.

''the stock 70s small hub spicer ones look almost the dame, the dial where you grab onto is thinner in the middle, the small hub style are all internal lockout and a 2 piece design hub/lockout ''

Like this? Or was the 10 bolt a seperate style hub?

The first pic is of an internal d44/10 bolt lockout, and the second is the older external d44 lockout.
