Since my truck is running hot, i am thinking of getting electric fans. The truck is an 86 k10 with a 350. what would be some good electric fans for it that are not too expensive?

Check O'reilly's, they have electric fans pretty cheap. I would go with the biggest one that would fit or two smaller ones if they took up more space on the radiator than the big one. They are usually listed by GVRW. Figure out what GVRW on the truck is and get a fan that is rated to that.

you should figure out whats not working correctly in the first place before getting fans and cjunk. if your radiator is shot, dual fans prob wont solve your problem

take it from me...bite the bullet and get a good set of fans. I have tried the same route by going to the junk yard and I now have 4 junkyard electric fans on my radiator. it would have been easier to just buy the right kit the first time and save the all the trouble I had

I think he needs to figure out whether his truck is actually running "hot" or not, first. See the thread in this same forum about engine temperature.
