it will take some work, the spring perches need to be moved out(if i remember right its 1.5" out on each side), the shocks relocated and you will either need to use the 10 bolt yoke on the 12 bolt which you need to find a seal that fits the 12 bolt housing and the 10 bolt yoke, i know there is one because i used a 76 12 bolt in my old 94, the other option is a new end on your driveshaft to have the right u-joint for the 12 bolt yoke, i believe its a 1330 series joint vs the oddball joint used in the 88-98 body trucks, the 12 bolt is also narrower so the rear tires will be moved in more, i had 15x10 rims that stuck out and it was pretty a noticeable difference after the swap.
personally if i were you i would just get a 88 and newer 9.5" 6 lug 14 bolt as for the most part it bolts in and is way stronger than both those axles.
when i have them i sell them for around $125-300 depending on gears and if it has a posi
