automatic hubs or manual hubs
i am looking on information and pictures on how to re install automatic hubs and look into maybe installing manual locking hubs. The truck is a 1984 gmc sierra 4x4 10 bolt

auto hubs suck, nice in theory but the tend not to work when you need them, you are better off with a normal set of warn premiums

The manual warn ones tend to last a long time, plus when you engauge them they enguage. It's the more reliable way to go.

For reinstalling the auto ones, a chiltons or dealer manual will have the instructions with pictures. They break and the parts are expensive.

I swapped my autos out in the k5 a long while back. What a pain they are, they would try and lock while driving down the highway.

I had a set of Warn's and tossed em in and never looked back. Easy install, once I realized I had to take the spacer in front of the outter spindle nut to get the Warn's in.




1983 Chevy K20- mildly built 350/SM465/NP208/Dana 60/14blt FF/ 8" of lift/ decked on 13/38" TSL's

DD-1997 GMC 1500:Dynomax equipped, 265/75/16 Kelly MSR's

Hers- 1984 K5 305/700r4/np208/10blts/33" KM2's
