my owners manual say that all chevy 4x4's in 83 had auto locking hubs...is this true? and the lever would just be for manual lock out override? Silly

my buddies 84 had manual locking hubs...but i believe they were aftermarket warn style..so i guess that doesn't help you

Didt't they come with full time trasfer cases, np208's i think, which would be the reason they have automatic hubs, IIRC.

NOPE...my 83' is part time...but my owners manual ONLY refers to auto hubs Silly

NM answered my own question tonight in the ice covered school parking lot...I wonder why my manual doesnt even contain the phrase "manual hubs" thats funny
