Winch Problem.. Help!
So I put a winch on the front of my Dodge Ram 1500. The problem is i think welding part of it while the "switch" was attached has shorted something out. The winch doesn't get power (tested everything) but connections from the battery to the "switch" assembly does. I am wondering if anybody knows about what is in the box that the mobile switch attaches to it. I see 3 round fuses maybe? However if there is somthing i am missing? Any ideas?
ThanksHuh

Pics or even winch model would help us help you

It's not what you buy or how you got it.
It's what you build, and how you wheel it.

RE: Winch Problem.. Help!
I think that model has 3 celinoids in it.

They are just like the older ford starter celinoids.

Put power on the terminal wire (The ground should already be attached on the other one. and you should hear it click on.
Test each one.

Warn has wire diagrams on thier website.

Could just be a bad ground. ... The other thing to test is the winch motor.. you can use a set of battery cables to by-pass all the controls. If the motor doesn't spin, then you probably fired the elecrtical motor brushes. You can buy a rebuild kit for cheep.
