Trailblazer Bumper
There is virtually no aftermarket support for Trailblazers, so I ask my buddy about getting some C-channel and sort of making some bumper thing to ditch the plastic. He went well beyond and now I have a hell of a bumper in my opinion. Held up well to wheeling and a 10,500 lb winch to the shackle held up nicely when I sank it. Anyway here are some pics of the generations of bumpers we built for my 06 TB.

Bolton BS Brushguard..Hunter products are junk

1st Gen steel-- Notice the large gaps I sorta filled with some extra lights. Not the prettiest thing, but functional. Always planned to add a brushguard and fill it in, but moved on and sold it to fund second gen build.

2nd Gen- Turned out really well

2.5 Gen..,Added some wings to fill in gaps to fenders. Also got some Lights added on.

RE: Trailblazer Bumper
That one is sold and the 3rd Gen is in progress. So far has additional bracing and reciever to allow for using winch on a mount. Also changed some angles slightly to flow better and fit cleaner.

The plan for this is to add some tube arond headlights and center, in a kinda brushguard fashion then get it powdercoated. These are all 7 gauge steel, plated on both sides of frame. Triple welded in spots and generally built tough as hell.

Also wanted to add, since they can be seen in pics, that the truck has an steel oil skid and radiator skid produced by MDB Fab who also did bumpers. The sliders are trailgear but the frame was plated and triple gussets are on each leg and MDB did the adapation to let those work and they have been through some serious abuse without issue. Hoping to also do some tubes around front fenders to hook sliders to bumper in the near future.

RE: Trailblazer Bumper
Surprised Looks great man! Gen 3 looks very professional. What size tube you thinking for the headlights and grill? I think 1.75" would look pretty proportional.

Plans for the rear?

1 3/4 to match the sliders, plus its what we got to work with. It probably is not my final bumper and will likely be replaced by an semi-enclosed winch bumper with stinger style tube.

The rear has actually never really hit in all my wheeling of it. It has been in several states and amazingly it has been fine with just the remounted little brushguard I have over it, The mounts seem to work slider/skids and has kept it in good shape. I would like to do something with a swing-a-way style tire carrier, but the rear bumper wraps way around to the tires and the air inlet thing will need relocated. I have a folding hitch mount spare carrier that has sufficed so far, but one day...

The real plan is to one day exo it, but need to slap in a real axle under the front first. I got a few 44's but looking for a 60.

Got the front done up with some 1.75 tube. Have been working on the rear. It should be done next week and has dual swings.
