I hate to say it but I now have a glass pack. I dont know why but I just wanted a change. And I could not afford a new flowmaster. I figured since my flowmaster is at least 4 yrs old and has been submerged in mud quite a few time and has 2 catalytic converters break apart there was something stopping it up. So i went and got a 12" glass pak with a turn down. It is LOUD when you get on it but other times it really isnt to loud. But it does sound different. Also another thing when he cut off the old tailpipe he noticed the soot in old turn down and it was pretty thick and he said it is from gas. Do ya'll think that my front 02 sensor could be messed up? ALso my speedometer is off could that cause it to run rich? I have a simmulator for the rear 02 sensor so that should not be the problem. What other sensors could casue this problem?

Have you set a CEL off for an O2? The best way I have found to tell how rich "I" am running is just get under the truck while it is running.
The CEL is not on. It has not came on in a while. I dont know. Is there any other sensors besides the 02 sensor that would make it run rich?
There is mechanical things that will make it run rich... For instance, you know my injectors kept getting clogged. This in turn led the truck to running rich. However, I would also think that it would cause it to miss as well. Didnt you just change your fuel pump out? It could be something along those lines!
Robert, I have 2 glasspacks in my closet and the pipe ready to go on my truck after I get an O2 simulator. When I cut my flowmaster off, it was black and sooty too, but my cat is getting clogged, so that is my problem.

I ran 22" glasspacks on my EB and they sounded good. I went to 12" packs and they sound like crap.
The 12" glass pack is LOUD but it does not have that deep loudness to it like the flowmaster. It sounds all right when you are hammering on it but it is different.
Do ya'll think that my MAP sensor could be causng the truck to run rich? I was told last night to change it. Also BLAKE how would the fuel injectors getting clogged make it run rich? If the injector is clogged then there is lease gas getting in there and you are getting less gas and more air. So it would be the opposite of rich.

No, clogged injectors do make it run rich. Has something to do with that cylinder getting less fuel, causing the computer to send buttloads of fuel into the rest of them.
