Removing body lift
Well i am getting ready to remove the body lift on my 2000 1500 sport. Taking it back down to stock to use it more for towing. Just wondering if anybody can tell me what the exact size of body bolts i will need when i take the pucks out? I know i kept the bolts when i put the lift on but can not find them now and would like to get this done here soon. So if anybody knows what size bolts i will need that would be great.
Thanks,
Ben

RE: Removing body lift
Well the reason i am removing the body lift is because i am taking the 35's off the truck and putting them on my jeep. Going back to a stock size tire on the truck which will make it easier on the truck for towing compared to towing with the 35's. Does anybody know what pitch the bolts are? I went to go get some new bolts but could not figure out what the thread pitch was or if they are standard or metric.

Off the top of my head, no. I would just pull a bolt out you are currently using under the truck, figure out the correct threads for it, minus 3" off the length and go buy as many as you need.
Better yet. Buy a single nut that fits them, screw it on one, cut 3" off the end, unscrew nut. Wallah, you now have the correct size bolt. Do that to the remainder of them.
If you have a fine/sharp cutting blade, you could probably get away with not using a nut.
