what im looking to do is remove my bedliner so i can spray rhino coat over it then put my bedliner back in.
For the most part i thought removing the bedliner would be easy abnd straight forward but i have these hooks on the bed of my truck that are above the bedliner kinda holding it in place.
May be a stupid questionbut how can i remove these? you can get underneath it because of the bedliner and i started turning one but to no avail so i thought maybe it was a nut & bolt type setup but i cant get to the back of it so un-screw.
you definantly dont need to put the bedliner back on because it works way better than a bed liner ever would and it looks better...if i were you i wouldnt put it back on...
maybe, maybe not, depends on how good it comes out, im doing it myself (brothwer in law helping) he has done it before so i should be good.
I want it for extra protection only not for looks, so if it looks crappy i want to put the plastic bedliner back in. So yeah, you got that straight.
it cost about $450 to have it done perfectly and look like a normal bedliner (actually better) i cant afford that but i know someone who sprayed it on their truck so im gonna buy a few gallons and let them do it for extra protection, the outcome may be negligable therefore i can always drop the other bedliner on top just to cover the not-so-perfect job of spraying or rolling the rhino coat on.
Who actually admires the inside bed of a truck? It don't have to look perfect. Most spray-in-liners are kinda rough anyway. I use mine like a truck and most of the time its full of junk. I did my dads old ram with the roll on cheap stuff. It worked out good but I forgot to use a wax stripper before hand, so the stuff started pealing off when scraped. My buddy did his truck with the roll on Herculiner and it turned out good. Just remember to rough up the bed and anywhere you are applying this too, so it will adhere to it.

I would think they would at least un-screw.
Thanks for the info.....
where are the tie downs at? if you are talking about the hoop-like tie downs towards the very back of the bed, there are two little bolts that hold them in
otherwise, just cut the damn plastic liner until you can get it past the hooks...who cares what the liner looks like, i think there are probably a bundle of guys with a liner for a ram laying behind their garage or in the rafters here in case you need a perfect one to replace yours
