Just ordered one. Gonna go ahead and rebuild the rear end, again. Try to get a better pattern than I did the first time. ANyone put in one of these? Looks real easy. I a$$ume you could do it without pulling the carrier put am going to anyway. Need to add at least one spacer to the pinion.
They are very simple to do, but you must pull the carrier if you are running 4.56's, as the center pin will not come out in either axle. Are you putting one in the rear or the front? They both work the same, and do just fine for locking. Let me know if you need any other info, will be happy to hook you up.
If the center pin will not pull out with the carrier in then how would one ever install the axles as the center pin holds the c-clips back. My center pin rubs the ring but will slide out with a mallet punch. It slides right between two teeth.
Not that it matters I am still pulling the carrier.
i want to put lockers in mine when i get new gears. let me know how it works I don't do alot of hard wheeling but it does see alot of sand (glamis sand dunes) thanks
Thats it?!?!?!? Can you get them for the 2500s too (I dont know what the 2500 axles are, new to 2500)? Any part numbers or something? Damn if they only that much, I think I migh as well get rid of the LSD and slap a lockright in! Thats sweet
here is a site for a reference. but ask Steve what he can get ya. <!-- BBCode u2 Start -->http://truckperformance.com/products/?searchtype=d&sortorder=&urlsubcategory=Drivetrain&productcategory=Lockers%2FNo+Slip+Differentials&sf1=DODGE&sf2=2000&sf3=RAM+2500" TARGET="_blank<!-- BBCode u2 End -->

i put ez-lockers in both ends of my jeep j10. had to remove the ring gear both times. remember to put the ring gear back on exactly how you took it off. match up bolt holes in carrier to corresponding holes in ring gear. when i bought my lockers i paid $502 delivered to my house and that was about 6 years ago. for c-clip axles you have to remove the center pin to allow you to push the axle shaft in to remove the c-clip so you can then get the axle out. to put the ez-locker in and then re-install the c clip takes a little patience.
