its as good as a functioning cad unit, it is more reliable as far as mechanical parts, you just pull a cable and its locked in

its not like it gave any better traction or something like that, its just a mechanical cad activator vs the vacuum stock unit

You get 2 low options??? I though that it just replaced the stock on with something that is better. I didn't know that you also go 2 low options?

you get 2 low by not locking in the front axle with the posi lok and putting the t-case in 4 lo, the same thing can be done by disconnecting the actuator hose right now

ok, right now your front axle uses a vacuum system with a switch on the transfer case to lock in the front axle when you shift into 4wd, the 4x4 posi lok system does away with that vacuum system.

so right now if you disconnect the hose on the front axle the axle would not lock in so you would be in 2wd low if you shifted the transfer case into 4 lo.

the posi lok can do the same thing you just do not need to get out of the truck to do it.

Also, if you have a welded front like I do, you can use it to unlock the right front and be able to turn like normal. That will have to be the next mod on my red truck.
