Will a blown plenum gasket cause oil consumption and smoking?

mine did, but do a search with the words "plenum gasket" and you will find all of the info that you will ever need. But yes, mine did use a lot of oil, i checked it all of the time when the gasket went out. also try a search for "belly pan gasket", they're both the same thing. Good luck on it, go with the block-off plate instead of the gasket, so it won't blow anymore. Silly

Mine used a lot of oil, but I never noticed it smoking. Right before I replaced the stock manifold with the M1, I was using about a quart of oil a week...

Same here about a quart every oil change. Slapped the M1 intake from http://www.krcperformance.com and cured the problem with added performance.
