Ol' Blue's resurrection, part III (Homecoming and finishing touches)

Since I have been laid off, I figured I'd use this time to my advantage and give my truck a makeover. The lift has been on for over a year now, but the truck has sat virtually untouched since February due to gas prices and other problems. I'm going to do the body work first, then address the problems I overlooked the first time around (U joints, open axles, decaying body mounts, tired motor, gears, rear lift blocks......long story short, another project). First things first, I am going to supply a few pictures and I wanted to see if anyone could Photo Shop the color for me. I would like to see what the truck would look like in one solid shiny blue color, about the color of the darker blue on it now. Also, what it would look like in one solid dull blue, also in the same color of the darker section. I'm either going to paint the truck in one stage lacquer (which would produce the shiny look) or a more modern 2 stage paint that requires clear, but I'd just leave it dull and not add the clear. I'd like to see roughly what each would look like before I make a decision. Thank you for your time.

(P.S. I have clean pics too if that would be better. They were taken at dusk, so they are a little darker.)

I'm reluctant to do it shiny because it is going to be scraped and dented and everything in between. I didn't build it to run over parking blocks at K-Mart Smart-ass

Thanks. Sadly I've been a little premature. This phase of the project has been set on the back burner for now. My dad's shop isn't doing so hot and he doesn't have enough materials for me to use at the moment (i.e. sand paper, primer, bondo, gas for the MIG, ect.) Hopefully if things pick up for him in the next couple weeks, I'll finally be able to get it in there and do work!!

As a side note, I have settled on a satin blue color (either blue primer or a blue paint minus a clear coat.) Do you guys think it'd look gaudy if I added some hot rod flames, either satin silver or lighter blue? I've always wanted to try my shot at a flame job.
