I have been searching and I see so many mixed opinions on the Lockright lockers for a 9.25 axle that I may as well flip a coin to make my decision.
I really like the idea of a lunchbox locker because I don't have to set up the gears with one and I'm not going to re-gear before I go to Uwharrie in a month.
I have a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 with stock axles and open diffs. It would be in the signature, but I need 5 posts to make one.
So what do you guys really think about them? I turn to y'all because my usual forum is more of a tech and less of an off road forum.

RE: Not another Lockright thread...
Ok with smaller tires and low hp applications. I run one in my 98 on 36 tsls with no problems. Kind of sux with a manual trans on pavement, but other than that it has held up. I would not run this with tires larger than 36" or with anything high HP.... those teeth are mighty small IMO for holding the whole truck....
i ran a lock right in my old 9.25 for over a year on 35's with no problems at all. Now i have a d60/d70 combo both with lock rights and 40" tires, still no problems.
Awesome. I would like the D60/D70 combo like yours, but I don't want to part with my off road rims.
Now I just have to get a Lockright ordered so I can get it in the truck before next month.

That other place sucks. Stay here.
It isn't that bad. Sure there's a couple weenies on there but it isn't too bad. I've always like Pavementsucks, it just took me a few years to finally get an account on here.
Why do yo have that helmet on your avatar instead of your truck? Those new wheels and tires really changed the look of that thing (in a good way).

they are junk, stay away from them, end of story.
maybe in a jeep they are ok, they have no business in a fullsize.
if you have one in a fullsize that hasnt grenaded, consider yourself lucky.
blew thru 3 on the street with 36" tsl's, no screwing around, no burn outs, nothing stupid.
