Bought myself a b-day present and it finally came in this week.
Spike's tactical midlength 16".
Picked up a used eotech 512 and a matech BUIS for it..
I'd like to get into 3 gun next year in addition to shooting USPSA single stack.
With the eotech and matech BUIS mounted
And the rest of the family thats going shooting this weekend....
kimber desert warrior 45acp - my USPSA single stack gun and nightstand gun
Savage 10FP 308win, target/long distance shooting... shoots sub 0.3MOA if I do my part out to 600yds... need to find another 400yds to add to it.
I'm thinking about getting matching grip/stock/front guard to match the kimber... gives that extra tacticool look haha.
Waiting for magpul to come out with the MOE handguard for midlength gas systems... carbine ones been out for a while and I really like it.
Serious question: Why do people put shells/etc. in between the trigger and guard for these kinds of pictures? I've seen other people use folding knives as well. Gun owner, but I've never pimped pictures of them online, so I'm out of the loop. Nice collection.
So it stands the gun up so you can see it better in the picture... The 50BMG round was the first thing I could find in the basement, I couldn't find a pen otherwise I'd stand it up with that.
Thats seriously the only "posing" picture I have ever taken of those guns(other than one of my 1911 when I first got it) ...but I know what you are talking about... people put their guns, knifes, scattered ammo, flashlight as though its a cover page picture in GQ.

RE: New addition to the family.
i have an old (circa late 80s) civilian marksmanship program colt ar accurate enough enough to make a clover with 3 shots at 500 yards(full length bull barrel with 1:7)i havent shot it that well but a buddy of mine did just that at a competition last year using my rifle.i have been seriously looking into either building or possibly buying a mass produced m4 style ar in a 308 caliber. so far from everything im seeing i can build me a very tricked out ar for what most companies want for a lower end ar nowadays... just curious how much you paid for that ( just the rifle itself) btw you failed... shoulda bought matching furniture for the ar so that the 1911 doesnt feel like the step child. just kidding ive heard lots of good things about the spikes ars. it should do you real good

Thats a pretty damn good group.. I'm guessing thats with some 70+gr bullet? I can barely do that with my 308 haha.
I'm going to get the MOE guard/stock when they finally come out with the MOE for a midlength gas system(currently only make them for carbine length)... I really like how they feel and give it an FAL look which I like and will either get them to match the kimber or keep them black.
They want $810 for the rifle online but I got it for $750 shipped with the discount I found... it apperently expired but you can get them still on some sites....
It came with the gun/A2 detachable carry handle/hardcase/1 pmag and a bunch of spikes stickers other stuff.
I sold the carry handle for $50 so it offset the cost of BUIS.
For what you get I really don't think you can find a cheaper price anywhere(assuming you have the discount) the next cheapest thing to this would be getting an DPMS oracle $760 at cabelas, or a rguns AR(I live like 30 mins from them) for $700-800, I'm pretty sure rguns uses DPMS parts...
Or if you have the tools... you can actually build the oracle for a lot less... they have a parts kit on midwayusa.com for $599 where all you need is a stripped lower... if you wait around for the time when they have their spend $500 get $50 off or w/e deals they have then you would have a pretty good deal and could get the whole thing done for under $700.
But with all those you still get the 1:9" twist barrel and when I get into reload for this gun... in addition to bulk plinking ammo I want to make some more "match" type ammo using the 69-75gr bullets... Hoping to make 55gr and 62gr reloads for approx $2.60-3.20 a box of 20 depending on the bullet.
