How do I get this damn muffler off!

I just got my Flowmaster 40 series and I cant get my stock muffler out. (without cutting it). Do any of u have any ideas on how to get it out without cutting it.?

well how old is your truck and is the muffler bolted on or what. if its been on a while then you probably off to cut it off just cause the exhaust heats up and everything like that. why dont you wanna cut it??

Just cut the damn thing off and be done with it. If you are trying to save the muffler just cut it about 3" away on each end so you can put a collar on each end to re use it if you ever want to.

its a 97 dodge ram. its a clamped on from stock. Im just gonna cut it shyt. Faux it.

I had just bought my 2001 Ram, and wanted to put new mufflers on her, but couldn't get the stock muffler off!!! After a few hours at cussing at it, I just grabbed the hack saw, and with in a few minutes it was done!! I'm sure it's not the "best" way to do it, but it sure got the job done with minimum swear words.... Very Happy
