I did Green Ridge today with 4x4wannabe and it was a good time. My new locker and tread allowed me to pretty much stay in 2wd most of the trip. A couple of times I broke through some ice and got stuck on the mud and ice and then pulled back on that magic lever and got right out. Going over the real rocky section I used some 4lo just to help my clutch out with the creeping. I'm going to let 4x4wannabe post some pics, I ride the short bus when it comes to most of that stuff. Bumpers stayed straight this time, but I did bust a weld on my exhaust hanger. So with some ingenuity from 4x4wannabe's dad (who was visiting from FLA. and said that Green Rodge is really frickin' cold) everything worked out fine, thanks Jim. Take care all...

Since my ride is not trail ready, I have to get my wheeling kicks from here!
There was just a trace of snow, you could really tell towards the end that the ground was thawing. I played with the locker as much as possible just to get a feel for it. Today was the first day that I heard the notorious "bang" come from the rear on a slow, hard left turn. I thought, oh great...stranded in Hancock. Could you see me screaming on the side of Rt.70, "MrJoe....MrJoe, where are you". We need a MrJoe beacon that we can put up when were in trouble. Like batman's, we'll shape Mrjoe's like a wrench
