Well, we ended up giving into the {expletive}ty used car market today, we drove over to miami to see what they could do....
After 3 hours of deliberation between me, my wife, and yojan, we Ended up buying a Black 2005 Honda Element LX with 20k.. Fully loaded.. got it for $16,800 (they were asking $19,900).. They ended up giving us $6,000 for our trade of the 00' VW Bug, Leaving us with $3,400 Negitive equity..
So, all in all she loves it, I like it.. I like the 7yr/100k Powertrain warranty, and the 2 year/20k bumper to bumper warranty.. I dont have to worry about it for awhile..
Best thing about this car is it has stain-proof seats, rubber floor, and power everything.. Even Cruise control..Everything the beetle lacked, this thing has.. Even though we are paying alot more for this car.. But as long as shes happy, I dont care...
Its also getting 27mpg!! which is awesome IMHO..
gonna throw on an AEM intake, some 18s, and a lil boom boom..lol..
hey jordan ive got an idea lets lift the element 8" and put some 38's on that sumbitch. if they dont make a kit we'll make our own...im sure my sister would love that.
borrow the car one day and give it back to her all beefed up the wicked customs way biotch...it might cause a little argument.
For the love of all cars, PLEASE paint that damn ugly plastic lower half on that thing the same color as the rest of it. I hate the elements anyway, but I must say they look a little better with that plastic body color matched.
I cant remember what member it was, but another guy here bought one for his wife, and put BFG mudder tires on it, it actually looked kinda mean.
well, congrats on getting what you wanted. sorry you got hosed on the trade in, but that's usually how it goes and at the end of the day if you made the wifey happy, well, you did okay then.
Matt, I thought the same way as you.. I was like this car has to get the fenders painted.. But then we found this black one, and since its black (One of the rarest colors so this element forum says ) It doesnt look bad..
