My buddy has an 89 f-250 2x4 with 8 lugs on it (obviously) and he was wondering if 8 lug wheels off an older chevy will bolt on to his truck. And if they wont, what will interchange, and what is the bolt pattern on the ford? Tia for the help and Im sorry but im in school and have zero time for searching, and thought I would ask this question before the weekend when I probably wont be able to reply.

Ford used the 8x6.5" lug pattern from the late '60s through model year 1997. The model year 1998 trucks (the Super Duty trucks) are when they went to a 8x170mm pattern.
To the best of my knowledge, GM and Chrysler/Dodge have used 8x6.5" lug pattern wheels from the late '60s/early '70s through today.
The deal breaker MAY be the bore of the hub center hole in the wheel. I don't think it would be an issue, but the hub center (hole) of a GM or Dodge wheel may not fit over the Ford axle flange or front hub. Only reason I mention this is that 1/2-ton Dodges use the same lug pattern (5x5.5") as '60s-'96 Ford F150s and Broncos, but the same model year Ford have much bigger (diameter) front hub housings and so Dodge wheels won't fit on a Ford without having the centers machined out. Conversely, a Ford wheel from those years F100s/F150s/Broncos will easily fit on a Dodge.
