Dodge Ram Bumper Build
Well I have been working on building an offroad bumper for my Dodge Ram 1500. Basically I have taken ideas from a bunch of different posts and put them together to create a bumper for my truck. Here are some CAD drawings that I made of its basic shape. I have finished making a mock-up of the bumper with cardboard. Those pics will come soon.

Here are the cad drawings, please let me know what you think.

Okay so i have finally gotten pictures and everything so here they are. Instead of just welding the whole bumper to the frame i have it setup to just bolt onto the stock brackets. Tell me what you think. Thumbs Up!

Thanks. And yes eventually I do plan a winch Thumbs Up! , but i dont want to put any mounts for it becuase im not sure which one I will get.

Why not mount it to the original brackets, its a great place to base everything off of, and if i need my old bumper its super easy to change. I will probably reinforce them somehow.

Thanks
Ed

Stock brackets are no where near strong enough for a winch, or the weight of a couple hundard pound bumper.
