Ok i have some Questions.. I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 with the Dana 60 up front.. My Question is i am needing the front Wheel bearing HUD Assembly And they say that the 2000 to 2002 are the same for the 3/4 and 1 ton 4x4's and that the 94 to 99 are the same for the 3/4 and 1 ton's.. i have looked at both of them on line and don't see what is different about them they both have the wires coming out of them and they both have the 4 bolts holding them on.. And the one for the 00 to 02 is $358.00 from Auto zone, And the 94 to 99 Are only $78.00.. And they both have the ABS coming out of the back of them... So my Question is what is Different between them??? i have been looking at a 98 and a 02 and i don't see the different other than the money..
The '94-'99 trucks have the brake rotor BEHIND the wheel mounting surface of the hub assembly whereas the '00-'02 trucks have slip-on rotors. The '94-'99 trucks, when doing a brake job on one of those trucks, requires the hub assembly to be removed to get the brake rotor off. The '00-'02 trucks do not.
Though they may look similar in the pictures, they are not. In fact, the pictures you're looking at might simply be the same picture used for both models.
So what you are saying is 94-99 is longer than the 00-02.. It just gets me that they are both Dana 60's.. And i can bolt the hole axle in and it will work.. And the out side shaft is the same up to 01.. Or that's what they say on the Dana site. And i noticed that on the front axle it don't have the ACTUATOR on the axle.. So does it mean that it is a full time front end like the old dodge trucks???
A dana 60 is not the axle ends, its the pumpkin/gear/carrier/etc. what kind of tubes and ends are attached doesn't matter... there are rear dana 60s too.
Yes the hubs are basically the same except the 94-99 hub flange where the wheel bolts up to sticks out farther since there is no rotor in front as opposed to the 01 where they take up the space...I'm sure the knuckle is different as far as where the caliper sits since it the rotor is different, the calipers probably lines out different.
There is some difference. You might as well buy a hub with a lifetime warranty. Definitely smart if your gonna keep the truck a while.
As for prices, around 300 is about right. Check rockauto.com sometimes they have them cheaper and you can get autozone or advance auto to price match it. thats what i do, and they never hassle me about it.

I think all the stub shafts are 33 spline. the difference is inners 94-99 are 30 spline, 00-02 are 32 spline and some of '01 have no CAD, '02 are all no CAD

Where are you finding wheel hubs for $78??????????????
Maybe the wheel studs are different?
Are you looking at them side be side? Buy the cheaper one, see if it will bolt in, if not then order from rock auto or drop the coin and get the correct hub.

Well i found the hub for the 94 to the 99 on E-Bay for the $78.00 And for the 00 to the 02 it is $99.00 on E-Bay but it takes a week to get it.. Where i can get it from Auto-Zone in 2 days.... But from Auto-Zone it is 169.99 and has a 1 yr warranty for the Duralast.. And $358.99 for the Timken And it just has a 1 yr Warranty as well... I thank that i am just going to go with the Duralast for the $169.99.. And on the stub shafts all the checking i have done the 94 to the 01 is the same.. But i did not see what they changed in the 02.. Mine is a 7-02 dodge ram 2500 4 door 4x4 short bed.. And i have had it about 5 weeks now.. I went and bout it not running and got it for $1800.00 and brout it home and checked it out and all that was wrong with it was it had a blown fuse.. Put that in and have drove it about 1000 miles and at about 600 miles i had to put a water pump on it..And now it needs the wheel hub.. But i don't think that i am hurt on it for what i gave for it.. It only has 157,336 miles on it.. I got a pretty good deal on it don't yall think??? The 99 dodge ram 1500 SLT Laramie with lather and power every thing And it even had a sun roof that i had before.. I only gave $900.00 for it and it did not run And i checked it out and all that was wrong with it was the Cat was stopped up. And i kept it about a yr and put about 90,000 miles on it.. And sold it for $4500.00 and it had 230,690 miles on it.. I sold it the day before i went and picked up the 02 2500.. Yall don't think that i am hurt on it do yall???. Well thanks.. Hope all is well... TY.. Got to get back to work..
