Lightning Boggers on a Ram?
I have a 1997 Ram 2500 ext. cab longbed 4x4 and I was going to put boggers on it. Just wanted to do some research for I spent the money. I'm new to this so don't really know this works.

Nah, cant be done.

JK. Sure, but if your truck is at all a daily driver, I would seriously shy away from a bogger.... or any bias ply tire for that matter. A radial would be much more enjoyable.

Never ran the IROK radials but I did run a set of IROK bias-ply and I can tell you that they wear fast and have very thin sidewalls.
IMHO they're right up there with thornbirds for being the worse Interco tires...

RE: Boggers on a Ram?
I run Boggers on my 1500.They aren't bad ridding on the street, but they will never last very long. Check out the Nitto Mud Grapplers, or the MT Baja Claws. They are both radial, and ride well. Not sure about the life span, but no mud grips will last long.

RE: Boggers on a Ram?
Look into TSL radials... I had the 12.50" wide which the thread pattern only measure about 10" on a 8" wide rim, sidewall to sidewall is about 12.7" though.

They last very good... about 16k road miles and 2 years of wheeling every month/other month and the tires had well over 1/2" of thread on them still.

RE: Boggers on a Ram?
The boggers just wont last on a daily driver. If a good mud tire is what your looking for then take mikes advice and look at the tsl's, they'll get you alot more miles.

I second that. My 36's had 15k I think and were worn pretty bad. I didn't know about the sidewalls, though. I figured with a name like IROK, they would have a pretty stout carcass.
