no codes no lights

pulled the batt wires to re-set comp and drained/checked fuel filter

all filters are new,
also pulled fuel filter and cycled key to check lift pump and seems to have good pressure.

If I cracked a injector tip or if the injector is leaking down it that just a tip replacement or do I need complete injectors?

RE: Bad idle now rough constant (injectors?)
If the nozzle is cracked then the nozzle can be replaced

If the injector body is cracked, you will need a new injector

If you do have cracked injector, replace it ASAP before you fill crankcase with diesel

sounds like an injector is stuck open or cracked and dumping fuel.

I would also re-check the valve adjustment. A friend's 2003 and a similar problem and the clip holding the valve to the spring was bad.

In my 24v a injector tip cracked open and cost me a motor and turbo.

RE: Bad idle now rough constant (injectors?)
A solenoid in an injector is bad...it will hang CLOSED and not cause a fuel/oil/smoke issue...

RE: Bad idle now rough constant (injectors?)
Injectors on a 3rd gen don't follow some predetermined pattern...especially when the solenoids fail. They can fail closed, operate normally, fail open, operate normally, not open at the correct speed/duration, operate normally.

But hey, that's just coming from someone that fought solenoids for over a year on a 3rd gen.

Forget I said anything.

RE: Bad idle now rough constant (injectors?)
Definitely injector issues. I would replace them and be done with it.

And that Steved guy knows a few things about diesels Tongue
