Article contest, win Platinum Status (extended deadline)

I am thinking of starting a simple contest for writing Technical Articles. Those that enter an article will get full credit regardless, but the best article, as voted by the members here via poll, will win 2 years of Platinum Member status. The second place winner will get 1 year of Platinum Member status.

All contributors who enter a thread that I find are "Tech" worthy will have their article added to the Tech area and will get "Content Writer" status under their username with the potential for fame and glory!

So what are the rules?

1. Registered users only
2. Related to offroading (vehicle repair, upgrades, mods, fabrication)
3. Minimum of five (5) pictures of the process/steps
4. Recommended: List of tools, materials and time required
5. Enter as many separate threads as you like. However, they must be your content and must be new threads (even if based on an old thread of yours) in an "article" format.
   

How do I enter?

1. Start a new thread and include "Tech Contest" in your subject
2. Send me a PM with a link to your post
3. Be sure to attach your images to the thread
   

What is the timeline?

1. Threads posted by March 21th 2012, that gives you 2 weekends to work on something new or find and improve an old post of yours plus some time to do the write-up.
2. Polling will run 5 days and the winner will be announced Saturday March 26th.
3. All articles will be posted by March 30th

Interesting! I would have liked to enter but it will not be possible for me has i cannot work on my truck and do the description in this weather hahaha its alright maybe next time and good luck to everybody that enters!!

I may do this again in the summer. Depends on the turnout this time. Also, it does not have to be directly related to your truck.

If you can fabricate stuff, enter that type of article. How to weld, proper use of a drill press in various situations, etc. All things from in your garage.

Is there a link describing what Platinum status means? Sorry I just have not tripped upon it.
