Alpine 3554 amp?

Just came across a used Alpine 3554 amp in a truck I picked up. Can't find any specs on it anywhere, alpine's site didn't go back that far apparently. Anyone know any specs on the wattage on this thing? It says it's a 4/3/2 channel amp. I'ts got a serial number on the bottom of it though.

V 00333654A

Or is there a website that gives this info that I'm just not finding. Sorry if I've overlooked something. Thanks

That is pretty solid amp. Early '90s, very early. I think it was rated at about 50 watts per channel at 4 ohms, but if I remember the 35 series of amps produced more then their rated power. You should get an audio shop to bech test it for you to be sure.

50by four is pretty decent power at 4 ohms, especially for an amp that old.

Generally, you'd only use a 4 channel amp for interior speakers anyway. They usually don't make much power for woofers, except maybe if you bridge the front into one woofer and the rear into another, some amps make decent power that way. And another thing to do is use it as a 3 channel amp. Hook all 4 interior speakers to the front channel, the bridge the rear into a subwoofer. I did that for a while in my first car.
