I've been looking at the last model Broncos as a new daily driver slash weekend warrior. What do I need to look for as far as week links. I know all the pros and con to TTB. I'm more interested in the strength and longevity of the transmissions and the 302 or 351. What kind of miles can these engines go before they need to be rebuilt? Another concern is that most of the later Broncos I've seen have push button 4 wheeldrive. Didn't Ford have some problems with these transfercases? Thanks for any help guys.

Those years all came with the E4OD tranny. Tough, but very expensive to rebuild. As long as you keep up with maintenance, it should last a long time. A big cooler and remote filter couldnt hurt either.
The 302 and 351 are both great engines. Once again, maintenance is key. Obviously any engine out there that is poorly taken care of isnt going to last long. There are plenty of them that have over 200k and others that Ive seen with up to 280k or more. One thing you should plan on replacing at some point would be the oil pan gasket which are a PITA. But replacing them with the blue felpro rubber gasket will usually seal them up for good.
The biggest concern about the push button 4 wheel drive was the electronic shift motor itself on the t-case going out. Besides that the borg warner 1356 t-cases are great. If it worries you that much, the push button ones can also be pretty easily converted to manual shift.
