I guess i could of started this awhile ago, but oh well. I have 4 parts trucks. Got my newest one (and nicest) not too long ago.

So far stared to get the old weak 1/2 junk axles out.

Be glad to get ride of this!!

Found a DANA 60 out of a 92
[Image: 2147074_86_full.jpg]

I'm going to be using a GM 14bolt FF in the rear.

I have two d-vorced 205's but with this short of a wheel base, my drive shaft angles would be nasty, plus i would have to move the fuel tank and some other things to make it work. So i found this married 205 that is going to work great!!
The 727 trans thats going with it is currenty at the loacal tranny shot getting rebuilt!!

Got a good deal on Brand New GM drums and backing plates complete for the 14 bolt
[Image: 2147074_92_full.jpg]

So far i got the DANA 60 strip down, painted. i put new U-joints in it. New seals, rotors, pads, calipers. Starting to look good.

I got new studs for a GM DANA 60 that are 9/16in to replace the Dodge 1/2in. That way it will match the rear.

Tommorow my SkyJacker spings should be in. I got 6in lift front and rear. I made some two inch longer shackels for the front, and going with a shackel reversal in rear. Should give the front about 8in and rear about 9in. And hopefully no block!! I plan on doing Cross-over steering on front as well.-Chris

looks damn good so far! What sort of paint did you use on the axle?

Another question for you, is your 14 bolt the same width as the front 60?

Reason i ask, is i'm wanting to swap out a "swapped in" D70 dually rearend in my '89 ram for a spare 14 bolt i have.

Again, rig is looking really nice!

Well today got some more things done. My springs came in last night, so i was ready to go today.

Made some shackles that are 2in longer.

Got the new springs in place and axle bolted up!! Had to make new spring plates for the top.

What do you think about the pinion angle??? Am i going to be running into probs b/c of the longer shackels making it worse?? Not sure about drive shaft yet. the one shown i'm not using, and right now it has a 203 t-case, where i will be using a 205 and the tailshafts hang down farther. plus i my be going to a cv-joint.

New rear springs and shocks!

Pick these up, new spring perches(left) and universal shock mount (right) for the rear 14bolt.

I want to see how it will clear a 38in tire, so i put a 40in hawg off my Cummins, i think i will have plenty off room for flex!!

Looking sweet mang! I've always loved the old stepsides. Whether it be a Dodge or a Chevy. I'd go with the 40's, they look like they are perfect! Thumbs Up! How much do you think that thing will flex?

i think you should make a front drop hanger .... its not the pinion angle i would be worried about .... its the steering geometry
