Got my first actual offroad vehicle the other day. It's a 1978 Chevy K20. A true beater. When I got it, the carb was having problems, hood was in the bed, fender skirts off, and lights missing or in the cab.Started the weekend off by fixing the carb and putting the fender skirts on, they were a pain to put on because of all the rust.
Started work on it. Tore the bench seat out and planning on putting buckets in it.The valve covers are leaking, so I'm putting new chrome ones on it that I'm getting from a friend for 20 bucks. I'm in the process of getting a 4 inch lift for the old beast. Block in back, spring up front. I fixd the holes in the floor with some good old signs that we had layn around. It won't splash into the cab no more.
Got one bucket seat in her for now. Took the valve covers off and looked at them.A bunch of oil film on the top of the covers.Changed the oil with some 15W40 to clean out all the film.Looked at the exhaust pipe and had some leaks in it after the manifolds.Ripped it out and put some new pipe in. I'm thinkin about putting a roll cage inside the cab so that way I can have some place to attach my seatbelts and if I have a rollover. I will have some pics tomorrow.

you can't post pictures direct from your computer or email like that, if you had gold status you could upload directly to the thread, at this point you need to upload to a hosing site like photobucket and then link them in this thread to see them
