Ok a few years ago I was a newby to lifts etc... Well now that my 33 12.5 MT Baja Claw tires are wearing way thinner, 4 inches thinner on the inside due to the 15x12 rims. I'm forced to get rid of the rims that a guy in Hawaii recommneded. The rims are being replaced with DC-1 15X10's. So my question is, will the tires wear correctly throughout the whole tire. I have a 2003 Nissan Crew Cab Frontier. Calmini 3" Body 3" Suspension going with 33 12.5 on 15x10 rims.
I have the DC1 wheels 15x10" with MT tires and the fact they wear on the inside , outside or center, is not an issue of the wheels, but an issue on the alingment of your 4x , the incorrect tire pressure, etc.. Obviously if you have a too wide wheel, say 15" , you will be constantly loosing your alingment so you will need to keep an eye on that to avoid wearing your tires in weeks.
The wheels have nothing to do with the funny wear, per-say. I have went through two sets of tires with the same setup (33x12.5 on 15x12's) and both sets wore absolutely perfect. It all has to do with proper rotations and if alignment is set up properly. Also, bad wheel bearings and ball joints will cause crappy tire wear too (which most likely are shot due to such a wide wheel).
That being said, I would still recommend getting the skinnier wheel. That's too wide of a wheel for 12.5's.

the wide wheel is not doing any good. If they tires are wearing funny, i would look into whats causing it. Something is worn out or outta alignment.
Everyone in Hawaii runs super wide tires I just went there a few months ago on my honeymoon. Everything is lifted running wide tires. Dont know why, but it must be cool
Ok I went with the 15X10 DC-1 Rims on 33 12.5x15 tires. The tech at 4 Wheel Parts said the tire wear should correct itself with the news 15x10 rims vice the 15x12 that I had on there. How would I know if the ball joints are shot and the other issues you mentioned below. Oh and the front tires were worn thinner on the inside rather than the rear tires.

If the guy told you that then he was just trying to make a sale. As said above, the wheels don't really have anything to do with it (although wide wheels can wear out front end part easier, which will make tires wear funny).
The front tires wearing more on the inside is usually due to the tires leaning in on the top, which is most commonly caused by worn ball joints or wheel bearings. Jack up the front end and shake the tires around. There should be no movement.
And it the wheel bearings and ball joints are not shot, take it to get an alignment. Cause if that is off your new tires will wear out just like the last ones did.
Ok so the ball joints could have been worn out due to the overly wide 15x12 rims I was running. So all in all it was wise to go with the 15x10 rims, this should eliviate the wear and tear of the the ball joints etc... How much would a decent set of ball joints cost? You mentioned that the front end would lean in, it was leaning in and I thought it was leaning in because of the tires being worn uneven on the inside tread. But your saying it might be due to the ball joints being shot? Thanks again for your input.
