Will 315/75/16's fit on a 00 GMC sierra w/ a 3 inch body lift, or is better to go with the 305/70/16's until i can afford to get a suspension lift...?

It also depends on what you plan to run for a wheel 8 in. 10 in.? and offset. I have a 3 in body lift in my hd with 305's. Yet I've seen a set of 315 all terrains on an 02' chevy extended cab HD with no lift. He had them on the stock wheels and his torsion bars were cranked all the way up. It's good to have them look porportional to your truck, plus not screw up your alignment. 305's look just right, but it's your call.

Also keep in mind on the new style gm's and i believe the older ones' that 1/2 ton frames are an inch shorter than a 3/4 tons'

I am With Stupid

On stock wheels and with the truck leveled out using the torsion bars you will be "ok" This combo is a crowd favorite in my hometown. I did get a chance to completely flex a truck like this, I lowered it off the jacks with the torsion bars out just out of curiosity. The tires were very stuffed just pointing straight. I think they were touching the top of the fenderwell slightly. I have a feeling if you hit a big bump while turning you could do some damage.
