Ive seen some one on here before with them but cant seem to be able to pull up the thread. I was wonderin if these tires where really 36in tall and how long did the last? I'm considering on gettin them if they arent tooo narrow. Any pics?
I ran them for a while on my 01. Really liked them. Full of air they were 36" tall and were about 10" accross the tread. They were fine on the street but offroad with they rubbed the back of the front fender liner pretty good (with leveling spacers). Cutting the bottom 5" off the fender liner would have fixed this. Never got them to touch the fender. I bought them used with 3k on them, ran them for another 10k and they looked like the day I bought them. I sold them to a buy to put on a late 70's F250. He's probably put another 8-10k on them and they have about 1/2 tread left. These were the 10ply Range E versions. The only reason I got rid of them was because of how late it put the 3-4 shift in my auto tranny and 3:54 gears. Seemed like the local speed limit was too high for 3rd but would lug 4th. Really liked the tire I just wished they still made them in the smaller sizes like 275/85 or 265/85.
thanks! I'm considering on gettin these tires and replacing my 2in daystars with at 3in rough country lift. I dont have enough money for a 5in kit and if i did get a 5in kit i would want a wider rim like a 16.5x9.75. Im just not sure how i like them being that narrow, but i appreciate the pics!!!
P.S. i really like the price on them! $189 apiece for a 36.
I got about 18k on them now and they still got about 3k or maybe 4k left on them. Also how do you think they would clear with that 3in lift? im hoping that with the new arms that the RC kit comes with will help keep them off the back of the fender.
I think they would clear fine with the 3" lift. I actually bought the 3" arms out of the TC lift to fix the rubbing problem but sold the truck before I had a chance to get them on. They are narrow but for the price and how long they last (10ply) the price is hard to beat. I have a friend that runs the Cply on a 86 F250 and his dont track down the road as good and seem to wear out pretty fast, usually pretty bald in 20k.
