2500 with loose steering....
Truck is totally stock, got 184,000 under her belt now. I've recently noticed that the steering has got some slop. I know the tie-rod ends are worn, anyone know what steerleships might charge for replacement parts, conrod, tierod? Haven't made any calls yet just started to look into replacing [censored].
Oh steering box was just changed due to ugly break at sector shaft.

RE: 2500 with loose steering....
you are pretty handy, order replacement Moog parts from RockAuto and do it yourself. Much cheaper. Just need a tape measure, pen and notepad to get the alignment back to where it was, then have an alignment done.

RE: 2500 with loose steering....
I replied to a similar request with all the Moog Part #'s earlier this week, just look for a steering thread in the Dodge section. There is also a good thread in the Tech section on how to make one yourself.

RE: 2500 with loose steering....
Hahahaha, The stealership (My local one) quoted me $742 for 4 components! Bad Idea Inner & outter tie rods, Inner & outter drag links! REally! I bout laughed in the guys ear.He listed teh inner tie rod at $224!

I did see the post with the parts listed, but can't fab up anything now.
I've found a few places that have some things, just got off Rock auto and it looks like they list all 4 components, for $224!
Stealer calls them "Inner & outer tie rod, and Inner & outer drag link"
Rock lists them as "Front right inner to pitman, Front left outer, Front left inner to conrod, and Front right outer to conrod.
I need to a few of the stock components and compare but $224 Vs a laughable $724 is a no brainer for me.

Thanks for the rock auto info Jason.

RE: 2500 with loose steering....
no problem, you can even post up asking if anyone has a discount code from their last order (you will get one if you order from them, usually 5% off next order)
