2 inch daystar on 5 inch skyjacker
i am going to do a five inch skyjacker lift can I simply bolt a 2 inch daystar spacer on top of that to give me 7 inches in the front or will that cause other issues?
It will pull your front axle back approx .5-.75" I would have to guess..
I'm running 7" lift on 5" short arms... before I made adjustable ones my axle was pulled back a little.
Also it will pull your axle to the side unless you have an adjustable trackbar to fix it... and it will also require you to probably adjust your steering wheel to be centered...

RE: 2 inch daystar on 5 inch skyjacker
Alright so I really need an adjustable track bar and probably a new drop pitman arm than the one that come with the five inch to make it work. And I won't need to lengthen the front drive shaft or anything. And what about the five inch shocks will those have to be scrapped as well. sorry for all the questions but it is my DD so i need it all to work
I'd put the spacers in and see how eveything his, you might need a trackbar you might not, and if you don't have a drop pitman arm you might want to get it... I have an extreme drop and I couldn't have probably done w/ just a regular "drop" pitman.
As far as shocks, you should be ok, unless you flex a lot... you will lose 2" of downtravel and gain 2" of up travel.
No worries on the driveshaft lenght... you might have to clearence the CV a little if it binds up anywhere.
when you put the spacer on top of the kit you will tuck your front tires under the truck. will it hurt anything? no, is it ideal? no. if you want 7" get a 7" kit.
are u totally piecing together a lift or the spacer is on your truck and your buying a 5 inch kit because im geting the spacer (should be here today) and then im getting the 5 inch kit and yes you can stack the new coils and the daystar spacer or any spacer if you have any other questions just ask i no alot about this stuff

RE: 2 inch daystar on 5 inch skyjacker
I am going to buy a 5 inch skyjacker lift the reason I ask about the daystar's is because I thought it would be an easy way to get 7 inches and I'm not gonna go just buy a skyjacker 7 inch cause it's like 3 grand where as the 5 is less than half that and the 2 inches ain't worth that much to me

the difference between the 5" and the 7" is a lot more than 2". it is a nice kit. it is expensive but it is a lot more detailed than the 5" kit.
