1988 suzuki sammi which motor to swap

I am looking at getting a sammi the one that I have found it already lifted and has tires. But he says it burns oil so I am wondering what motor will swap in their with little trouble and what vehicle did they come in. It has the basic 1.3 in it now. I appericate any help Thanks

they all burn a little oil, don't let that bother you, run it till it dies.
the easiest motor to swap in is a 1.6 8 valve out of a geo tracker, bolt in deal with a swap kit from any of the normal zuki vendors. alot of other motors can be swapped in depending on the power level you are after and the level of difficulty you want to undertake.

The only problem I have with the 1.6 liter is I have yet to be able tofind one around me locally. THat is the one I would like to do but I really dont want to spend $1500.00 on just a swap. Do you have any leads on where I could find one besides ebay and local yards?I appericate your help.

I am wondering what kind of weight is the max weight to run in the 1.3 it goes through a bit of oil.

A friend of mine put a 1.6L VW Turbo Diesel in his Samurai, but he's a professional mechanic so I don't know how easy that swap is.

I have already done the 1.6 swap I will be looking for a 4 bt to put in their next but that will be a bit down the road a 1.6 is good now.
