2001 dodge 2500 CTD and the engine is eom and the trans other than extra cooling is also oem 200k on them.

I would like to get an adjustable box that I can turn down to get max mileage when driving long distance and also sometimes use to get some power for towing (over 10k) and some mountian roads. Though 90% of my driving is flat roads and mud trails.

Don't want to get a box that will automatically blow up my trans, but I do plan on replacing it some time next year with a built one.

I would rather have reliability than power and down the road I will probably buy sticks and a turbo to bring it up to about 500hp. but not this year and not until the trans is done.

Any suggestions, I've been looking at the Edge Juice w/Attitude ?

The stock trans is a ticking timebomb....trust me, I found out the hard way. I threw a goerend tc/vb in thinking it would be enough to bump from the stock 180 to around 260, and the transmission lasted me a whole two months afterwards.... With the edge juice with attitude, if you're trying to save the stock tranny, if you do go that route, do 2 things....
First, you NEED to have an aftermarket lift pump...the increased fuel demand will outrun the supply pump, and cause your vp to die an early and expensive death. Second, if you do run the edge juice with attitude, hook it all up, but don't tap the vp44. This will cause it to run as an edge ez, with only a 65 HP boost, and may allow your tranny to last long enough to get rebuilt before it dies...no guarantees though.

I've had my Edge Juice w/ Hot unlock for 4yrs now. Nice adjustable box. I cant blame the last two VP44's on it but I'm sure it didnt help. For the last year, with the newest VP44, I've ran it untapped and Its been great trouble free power.

What other boxes are good ones?

Has anyone tried that edge mileage max? Does it work at all?

Adrenaline I hear is "the box" right now. I've been thinking about switching over.
