Has anyone heard of this magazine before? my brother just bought one and i was flipping through it. the cover says "your first 4x4, how to find it, buy it, build it". obviously i already have a 4x4 ... but the mag has a lot of articles comparing things side by side ... transfer cases, axles, trannys, motors, tires, rims, shocks, lifts, and lockers, almost all of them have discriptions of each brand, then a chart comparing them all. it covers a bunch of upgrades as well. in the back there are even two pages of formulas to figure out MPH, revolutions per minute, gear ratio, effects of bigger tires, equivalent gear ratios, crawl ratio, and speedo corrections.

maybe you guys have seen the mag before, but i thought i'd post it cuz i never have. it just seemed like a pretty good magazine for newbs or anyone trying to compare brands for an upgrade on things ...
I've got a few out on the magazine rack for sale... never have gotten them before but it looked pretty good. I think it is one of those annual things that one of the publishers makes in their spare time before Christmas to help boost sales.
THis months has a guy from CK5 on the cover. A lot of old school Blazer tech Thumbs Up! A lot of the stuff is info I already know but that's just because I'm always on here or CK5. Great mag with real trail rigs Thumbs Up!
I think it was almost entirely recycled from other Primedia mags. Took me a while to find a copy. Finally went to a 7-11 in the ghetto and found a shelf full. Thumbs Up!
YA its a good mag. Thumbs Up!
Ive seen them here to havent looked at them tho.
yea i seen the mag i like the part on one of the mags that say 67-72 are some of the bets wheelers Thumbs Up!
I have looked for them on the net but cannot seem to find anything about them... anyone have a website or something?
They're published by Primedia but there's no info on their website or anywhere else on the internet that I can find. There's no subscription cards inside the mag either.
its just a mag they made for beginners or newbies its cool i like it but its all recycled stuff like djgaston said
