Just passed my CA diesel smog test. Had me worried how detailed the guy was looking through the wiring, both under the hood and under the dash but all is well. My concern is that I am the 4th owner and only know of the mods that I have found. All the stuff I know of is legal so I went in with a good feeling though, but a tad apprehensive as to the unknown

The snap test was fast and easy, not a trace of smoke for any of the snaps.

In and out in 25 minutes. Costs the same as a gasser test, but 1/2 as long.
That sucks that they can make a new rule like that retroactive. I bought my diesel in California just because it was smog exempt, and I was sick of dealing with the smog rules there on the gas engines.

They made me buy a new computer for my bronco..because it was turning the check light on with a false Burning too lean code. $600 by the time I got it replaced and the smog check done. Let alone 3 trips to the smog test place and more trips to the dealer .. and two trips to the DMV for an extention and the lovely line they had going on at that place.
